Photography as a tool to attract your target clientele and to build brand loyalty

We live in a highly visual world these days. It is more important than ever to be sure that you incorporate amazing images with strong visual impact to represent your company & your brand.

There are many ways that you can use professional photographs to not only attract your target clientele, but to also keep current & potential customers engaged with your brand as well as drive business & increase revenue.

Whatever industry you are in, you most likely have a website & blog and use printed materials for your marketing and advertising. You need to be prepared to capture  attention immediately with great design, branding & professional photography to engage your current & potential customers. Though often overlooked, photography is one of the most critical components of your professional branding online and in print. With the popularity of Pinterest as well, having great professional images on your site & blog can bring even more traffic to your site and boost your brand awareness as well.  Each image that is pinned on Pinterest provides a direct link back to your website or blog.

I have had the amazing opportunity to photograph for many different corporate, industrial editorial & advertising clients. I alway work together with my clients to ensure that we are capturing images that tell the story of their brand & company.

Here are some samples of some recent images that I photographed for a developer. This developer has a very high end brand & was targeting their marketing towards an affluent clientele that appreciates high quality, attention to detail & has an affinity to the good life. The art direction for the shoot was to capture images that were very stylized and not too main stream for the brand. The client wanted my fine art approach & visual style to be very prominent in each image.

“The images should be vibrant & sexy with cool colour tones. Lighting should be ‘happy & smiling’.” -Art Director for the project

CRAVE Toronto

Back in 2010 I had the pleasure of photographing for the CRAVE Toronto. CRAVE is all about women business owners. The CRAVE print and digital guides are your resource for the  need-to-know women in your city. The first CRAVE guide was published in Seattle in 2002 and is now published in more than 35 US and International Cities. Many of my local clients picked up the printed edition of the CRAVE Toronto Guide which were previously available through my studio as well as a local Cheese Shop and were thrilled to learn about the many fabulous Toronto businesses within that edition. It was such a wonderful experience meeting some of the top female entrepreneurs and business owners in Toronto while photographing for CRAVE!

“CRAVE is all about women business owners. We host business chats, symposiums, and other fabulous parties to connect you with savvy entreprenesses. We spread the word about the need-to-know women in your city with our CRAVE guides. Our blog and social media provide valuable forums for sharing business tips and learning what women all around the world crave.” – The CRAVE Company

This is the fabulous BodyBlitz Spa located at 471 Adelaide Street West in Toronto which was one of the businesses that I photographed for CRAVE Toronto. This is Canada’s first authentic water spa for women. It features Dead sea salt pool, hot green tea pool, cold plunging pool, aromatherapy steam, infrared sauna, and 20 treatment rooms. It is a beautiful and relaxing environment!

Cravings Fine Food | Ignite Magazine

One of my favourite catering companies in Barrie is Cravings Fine Food. Angela Pidutti along with her amazing team of people truly offer some of the best food that you can find in Barrie. Not only is their food truly delicious, but their service is second to none. I have known Ang now for many years, having worked together for many weddings, corporate & private events. I have also had the honour of working with Cravings Fine Food for several commercial & editorial photoshoots.

I had the pleasure of working with Caesar & Sam {previously} from Cravings who styled a High vs. Low Photoshoot here in my studio in downtown Barrie for Ignite Magazine. The interesting thing about photographing for a specific editorial spread in a magazine is working collaboratively with the art director to produce the images for the spread. We need to take into account space for the written elements & work creatively together to produce the feeling that they are looking for.

Head over to my Canadian Lifestyle & Design blog, Sunday Crush, if you would like to find out more about Cravings Fine Food Market & Catering. They are a member of our Curated Marketplace Guide which features the best of the best throughout Simcoe, Muskoka and Grey Bruce.

Here are the photos from our Ignite Magazine High Low Photoshoot.

Digital Giants | Lifestyle Headshot Session

Here is a recent lifestyle headshot session that I photographed in my studio. Our lifestyle sessions are a 2-hour session and include 10 fully retouched digital files. This is a perfect session for anyone who has multiple uses for professional headshots including website, blog, social media profiles and print media. It is nice to have a selection of images to be able to switch up your profile photo throughout the year.

I always recommend professional makeup & hair styling for professional headshots. It will make a world of difference in your final images. I have a makeup area and dressing room in the studio and can book your makeup artist for you.

I work closely with all of my headshot clients to ensure that we are capturing images that reflect their personal brand. Adrienne is the Director of Client Success for Digital Giants which is an amazing full service B2B digital marketing agency located here in downtown Barrie.  My Sunday Crush business partner, Jane Klementti, and I hired Digital Giants shortly after launching our Canadian lifestyle blog. With help from the team at Digital Giants, Sunday Crush has grown to almost 20,000 readers in our first year. Their process also helped us to refine our own digital marketing strategies, optimize our content even further for highly targeted and researched keywords. This made it easier for us to attract our target audience as well as our amazing advertisers to our lifestyle brand. We are thrilled with the success of our first year online and we have all the tools and knowledge in place to continue to grow.

While I photograph the majority of my headshots here in my studio, I am also available to travel to your location in Toronto, the GTA or throughout our region.
